Team Crimmins Update

Well, I've finally worked out how to set up a blog!!! I actually got the idea from our good friends the BAD boys in down town Bemboka. Was very impressed with their site so decided to start one up ourselves.
Introducing ourselves, we are a family into mountain biking (well the kids are into it, we just pay for it).
Thomas; has been racing for just over 12 months. At just 12 years of age, Thomas managed to score himself a Bronze Medal in the U15's DH at the National Championships at Stromlo in January 2008. The following week he placed 3rd at the National Round at Mt Beauty. In March 08, Thomas took out the DH at the Interschools Championships on the Canonball Run at Thredbo in what was described as one of the fastest times ever posted in Div 3 (6:50.37). Since then, Thomas placed First in the U13 2007/08 CORC Series. To date, Thomas has raced all three U15 NSW/ACT State Rounds for 2008 and is the current series leader. There is one round to go at Nowra on 13 July and then the NSW State Champs in Awaba in August. Thomas has been lucky enough to pick up sponsorship from The Sacred Ride, Jindabyne. http://sacredride.com.au/

Andrew; is just new to the sport of DH racing. As Andrew is only 10 years old, Mum and Dad have been trying to hold him back from racing up until now. Andrew is just starting to get into DH racing seriously this year and will be doing all the CORC rounds. He didn't race the first round as it was a State round but since then has taken out first place in the following 2 races at Isaacs and the Stromlo burms track. Andrew also raced the third NSW/ACT State Round at Coffs Harbour and placed a very respectable 10th in a field of 31 in the U15's division. Not bad for a 10 year old. Andrew also loves Rugby League and plays in the U11 Cooma Colts.

Anyway, heading off to Majura this weekend for another CORC round. Should be fun.

Hi Team Crimmins,

Gr8 to see both the boys doing so well with the DH. Love the blog and photos. How about an update on how Thomas went on the weekend??
Will catch up soon.
